I'm going to start off by saying that I already knew how this book ends before reading this. I received an ARC of the next book. Abby's Survival, and started reading it before I realized it was a series. You need to read this BEFORE Abby's Survival. I was a bit lost, so get this book. Okay, you've been warned, so on with the review.This book is good. It's well written and flows at a nice steady pace. Olivia is running from a dark past. She finally settles in one place and starts working at a wedding coordination store. Liv and the owner, Kyle, quickly become best friends. He is the only one that she consciously lets through her walls. As her past resurfaces in the form of a man named Adam, she thinks she is going to fall apart. However, with the help of Kyle and, mainly, Abby, Adam's fiancée, she pulls through and learns to take a stand.
Abby's happiness was shattered when Adam confessed his sins to her right before they were to get married. Even though he wants to work through it, all she can see is a monster. She feels like she NEEDS to help Olivia in order for her to move on. The two women quickly become inseparable.
This book is about healing and connecting with people. Even with the darkness because of the tragic event that happened to Liv, there is light in this book. Olivia just has to work to see it.
Be warned this books ends in a cliffhanger. I am SOO glad that I get to jump right in to Abby's survival.

I really enjoyed the friendships and bonds that formed in this book, especially the bff bond between Olivia and Abby. It may seem unlikely to some one who's never lived through that kind of trauma, but it makes a lot of sense, and it's a thing of beauty.
YIKES! This could have been a great story as what happened to Liv happens to million of women and I wanted to read this story to see how she handled her rape. The language, yes, people do talk like trash but I didn't want to read it nor a blow by blow description of sex scenes. Leaves nothing to ones imagination. Crappy ending but since there will be a sequel to this book I know she lives so I won't be reading any more, I just cannot do all the garbage reading again and sad because this story line could have been a great novel. I've lived through rape and I nor some others like me do not talk like that, no need to and still get your point across. GAB
I was drawn to this book after suffering a similar circumstance. The author has written an excellent story of lust, love and true friendship. Cliffhanger ending but I loved it and need to know what happens next.
Interesting psychological thriller. Kept me reading amend now I'm going to read the sequel. The true love and friendships in the book are interesting, albeit a little hard to believe at times. The emotional pain is very real, and I actually found myself holding my breath at times.
4-1/2 stars! It's been a long time since I read a book in one sitting--I was hooked from page one. The author has created characters you really care about. And oh my gosh the last few pages ... I am very surprised this book hadn't received more buzz. It is really very good. It's got love, passion, friendship, suspense, and a really BIG cliffhanger. I'm very much looking forward to the next book, Abby's Survival available mid-May.
At the beginning I though "why so many jumps"I had to go back and read it again to see is I was missing something, sometimes had me gasping because I was surprised about the little twist and exciting things Liv was going trough, from a bad experience to finding a best friend in a matter of such a short time,I wish the story didn't had so many guessing moments and just tell it as it is, but then again it is the way to make it interesting. I didn't see the book coming to an end like this, she wasn't it to die and maybe she wish it to much.
Another free read I pulled out on vacation. I have to admit the opening of the book was a bit confusing, once I read into the book more I reread it. Olivia has been seriously hurt in her past and keeps herself locked away from others, she lets Kyle in, he is her best friend and boss. Abby comes into Olivia's life and things really change. I think this is a different kind of love story. There is Olivia and Kyle but also this blooming friendship between Olivia and Abby. But the ending of this book was horrific. I know I must read the 2nd book- Abby's Survival to find out what happens with these characters.
